Thanks for all the great feedback; it's really rewarding to see people playing and enjoying my game. I'm super excited about this release, which incorporates a lot of requested and recommended changes, as well as a lot of polish.

  • Added: Tutorial and tips of the day
  • Added: Controller support 🎮
  • Added: New controller-friendly menu & options
  • Added: Kids mode. Includes simplified controls (auto-aim), some easier balance adjustments, 10 stage limit (so victory is actually achievable)
  • Added: Option to pause between stages
  • Added: Fullscreen toggle option
  • Added: Music and a couple sound effects (this is mostly for testing)
  • Added: Easter egg for high-score achiever who made liberal use of timeshift

Balance & Gameplay

  • Changed: Increased value of Drone Tek drops from 0.5 to 1.0
  • Changed: Lengthened timeout for upgrade notification toasts
  • Fixed: Sticky collisions when colliding with the boss

Testing Requests

I would really appreciate testing and feedback on the controller scheme as I had a lot of challenges making that feel good and am still not 100% happy with it.

Also, looking for feedback on the new Tutorial and whether it makes the game a little more accessible for first time players.

Next Release

The focus for the next release will be combat dynamics, mechanics and balance. I've got a lot of ideas for new weapons, and I'd like to expand the Tek mechanic with new and fun weapons.
